  1. Practicals and Methods 2. Intuitions and insights 3. Freeflow
Planned a day in Perth with a TPS2 follow-up with Sarah Miller at PICA [Perth Institute of Contemporary Art]. But the tranquil early-morning kayaking on Swan River with lone twin and Mary's partner Peter set us off on a roll that went on to Cottesloe Beach [scene of recent shark attacks] for the Indian Ocean and snapper lunch. The UK NRLA contingent in total.

Saw Cat Hope's performance at The Blue Room, small black box theatre. Had mentored Cat on this piece at TPS2.
The bigger perspective from a second day brings relief and lightness. Detached now from being the performer and have the artist viewpoint.

A different relation to video, following Wed eve and using recent material [from Sydney and Wagga Wagga] allows video to become a different kind of companion in performance. The bridge sequence worked. So find myself filming five minute sequences yesterday in the Bush and today at the Cottelsoe Hotel.
Text for intro and programme for Sunday's Workshop 1 performance:

Midland snubbed as Big W plans new store in Ellenbrook. Discount retailer Big W has snubbed Midland Gate and will build a store in the new Ellenbrook town centre by the end of the decade. Ellenbrook will house over 30,000 people by 2020. "The land is a manuscript that is written over many times….The continuity of domestic life enters a new chapter with fresh faces populating an ancient site…This place is about the meeting of nature and culture…..Classical mediterranean culture is transposed into an Australian context…"
