2. Intuitions and insights 3. Freeflow 4. Tania’s view
See it as a journey which I host
Hold up a 35mm slide [not to project but to embody]
Ask Tania for advice
Wet morning and this time took that ferry to Neutral Bay in mother's footsteps. A second visit to the MCA [Museum of Contemporary Art] and a powerful video installation of darkness. Dwelt on my own dark issues and whether they might be captured in Perth. Shadow-boxing with the compulsion to entertain.

Expectations that the long flight to Perth might bring notebook insights. Made a horizontal diagram of 9 sections of different lengths. Thought about representing a physical wedge of Australia in my life/family, maybe a block of cheddar. Then the complimentary Lindemans Bin 50 Shiraz kicked in and I did ask Tania.
[1] Is this family stuff so interesting?
[2] Don't be obliged to dance, you move ok but
     I wouldn't call it dancing
[3] You're an artist, Richard
[4] I want your stuff, not the audience's
[5] Be open about the TPS2 stuff, that's more interesting
[6] Don't try to be too clever
[7] Your country needs you
[8] Don't neutralise yourself
[9] I want the moment
[10] Teach me something
[11] Don't confuse me just for the hell of it
[12] Don't try to cram everything in
[13] Be still
[14] Be Final Cut Pro
[15] Move me, don't be trash
[16] Play with your age
[17] Take your time
[18] Bring in the 'work' thing
