  3. Freeflow
Fei's performance/installation Expectations of a high-energy final full day. Don’t have expectations. It went quiet around lunchtime as people maybe headed back to their ‘cottages’ to sort out cutlery and make food for the evening. Or maybe they did other stuff. Would I get the bridge video clip copied? Or a CD burnt of the audio piece? Then we 5 talking about the final feedback meeting for always longer.

Did I really suggest Sixty Second Street for after and during the evening screening? This very tight format deftly lifted from PS122 in New York via Wimbledon School of Art.
You’ve got 60 seconds only and Boo’s the one with the stopwatch. One minute highlights of marshmallow stuffing, doll decapitation, hair gelling and blindfold blonde-cutting, exploding gherkins, skipping, live translation of aesthetic insights into German, towel-stamping as collective documentation, etc. And was more nerve-racking for some of the seasoned performers than a full-length piece, myself included. Ask me why. Context and content.
