| 17th - 20th January 2002, Nehru Centre, London
The context for these workshops was the discussion focused around Connecting Flights – New Cultures of the Diaspora, an initiative jointly organised by the Arts Council of England, the British Council and London Arts, culminating in the Connecting Flights conference held in London from 7 th - 8 th November 2002.
A conference culminating from a series of projects involving artists from London and around the world focusing on the discussion of the practical difficulties and lessons of international collaboration in the arts. Acknowledging that developing artistic projects over international borders is a challenging process where similarities and differences can be unexpected.
The Flying 4 x 4's Dance Link group brought together 'participants from diverse skills backgrounds and bringing with them a range of social, political and aesthetic experiences' in a mixture of practice and debate.
The outcome aim was the creation of 3-5 minute dance process video that was shown at the conference Connecting Flights: New Cultures of the Diaspora in November 2002 (Arts Council, British Council, London Arts).
