| 27th - 29th July 2002, Nehru Centre, London
A three day workshop facilitated and produced by shinkansen and Akademi involving British and British-Asian artists exploring the processes and concepts involved in the development of performance using the physical alive dancing body alongside the virtual projected dancing body- telematics.
Enabling a single virtual performance space by connecting two physical performance spaces within the Nehru Centre, London. The basis of the workshops was to explore the concept of identity and its fluidity within today's world. The project experimented with themes of connection and disconnection and also developing themes of touch, intimacy and virtual partnering initiated in previous CellBytes workshops. The group also debated and worked with themes of migration, diaspora, rapture/rupture and connectivity.
