Cluster is a telematics development of Club Research exploring connections between performers in remote spaces as part of a club experience. Cluster takes the essence of shinkansen event producing methodologies – multi environments, diverse programming, seamless integration of sound, movement, image and web and region-to-region networking into virtual space through technical processes utilising dual stage telematics to deliver a club night, a two way live performance link and a web cast.
This event provided the forum for the launch of the Future Physical web site and the Open Commission fund. A two way performance link and live web cast between Norwich Arts Centre and Dekspace, London involving a continuous stream of the club night with special 3-5 minute dual stage performances (CellBytes) every half hour.
Featuring DJ Scully and Audio/visual mixers, Socket from Bristol. Visuals by 2BitTV. Breakdancing by Force 10 and CellBytes Crew (Movement Jockeys).
The Sureshot/Cluster club night (Norwich/London) was collaboration between Future Physical, Norwich Arts Centre, shinkansen, Sureshot, Cluster, Dekspace, East England Arts, London Arts and Norwich City Council. |
